Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Broker Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing relationships with our brokers, building effective account management plans, facilitating proposals and transaction approvals, and ensuring that our lending processes run smoothly. This position requires strong credit and proposal writing skills, along with a proven track record of achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities


  • Broker Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with brokers to understand their needs and the needs of their clients. Provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the lending process.

  • Build effective account plans and monitor broker performance: Construct a full account management plan for our Tier 1 brokers, and use KPI’s to regulate performance and profitability.

  • Transaction Approval Collaboration: Work closely with brokers and the internal credit team to develop tailored proposals that meet the requirements of Asset Advantage, the broker, and the borrower. Ensure that all proposals are well-documented and presented clearly.

  • Credit Assessment: Utilise strong credit assessment skills to evaluate business propositions, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Prepare comprehensive credit proposals that outline the business case for lending.

  • Target Achievement: Meet volume and profit targets as set by the business. Monitor progress and implement strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives.

  • Training and Support: Provide training where required covering our products and processes, ensuring they are equipped to effectively present our offerings to potential clients.

  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to provide brokers with relevant insights and guidance that can improve their performance and service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Broker Manager or in a similar role within the asset finance and leasing sector.

  • Strong credit and proposal writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Demonstrable history of target achievement and success in managing broker relationships.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
